About us

Alan Jadanić, born in 1978, started studying astronomy as an elementary school student and joined the Zagreb Observatory in 1993. In 1994, he became a member of the Zagreb Astronomical Astronautical Society and a year later a demonstrator at the Zagreb Observatory.
Astronomy attracted him because of the infinite vastness and beauty of the objects in the sky. Throughout his astronomical lifetime, he popularized astronomy at the Zagreb Observatory and through street astronomy.
He participates in many astronomical activities, photo exhibitions, workshops.
He is the winner of the annual Oton Kučera award for 2017.
